Overview
The AeroQuick Compost Bin combines heavy-duty construction with a smart airflow system designed to support efficient home composting. Unlike basic thin-walled compost bins, the AeroQuick uses substantial 5 mm polypropylene copolymer panels built for long-term outdoor use.
A unique wall design encourages air to move continuously upward along all four sides of the compost bin. This airflow helps create the aerated environment needed for the natural composting process. It also reduces the need for the frequent manual turning associated with a traditional compost pile.
The open-bottom design places composting materials in direct contact with the ground. This allows beneficial microorganisms and worms from the soil to reach the organic material inside and assist with decomposition.
A hinged lid provides convenient access from above and features a sliding lock to help keep the compost bin closed. When your compost is ready, two lower access doors let you reach finished material without emptying the entire bin.
Choose between two sizes based on your household and garden. The compact 77-gallon AeroQuick is an excellent choice for a one- or two-person household, smaller yard, or gardener with moderate amounts of kitchen and garden waste. The substantial 187-gallon AeroQuick provides more than twice the composting capacity for larger households, vegetable gardens, raised bed gardening, and properties that generate larger amounts of leaves, grass clippings, and other compostable yard waste.
The 187-gallon model also includes a base grid. The grid helps deter rodents while maintaining access between the composting material and the soil below. The 77-gallon model maintains its open-bottom design, and a compatible grid can be purchased separately if additional protection is desired.
